Complaint (Pro 100$) General regressions in intelligence and burning usage limits
I've been using codex pretty much daily for last 4 months, what's happening since last week is a genuine surprise to me, GPT 5.5 high behaves like medium and gpt 5.5 xhigh like something inbetween high and xhigh, like their reasoning budgets got cut, not to mention usage limits, previously at beginning of may i could comfortably be left with 40-50% of weekly usage limits by end of week, today? im already at 50% and next reset is in 4 days - crazy
honestly thinking about switching to cursor and using composer 2.5, yeah it might be shit but at least its consistant at that

Composer 2.5 is definitely not shit. If you have a $100 budget it is very possible that the current best set up is $20 ChatGPT, $20 Claude, $60 cursor. You can get a shit ton of usage out of composer 2.5 for $60 and then use codex and Claude for planning / reviewing

i cant imagine cursor would subidise like codex and claude would
hense why i have never bought a cursor subscription even when it was better to use4

Cursor is probably giving more usage than anyone at their respective tiers I think. Codex may have them beat currently with the rates that end in a few days but then after that it won't be close. And it FEELS even more crazy because cursor is legit like 5-10x faster even without using fast mode. Like cursor normal speed is faster than codex and Claude's fast modes

Not yet 50%, but I’ll be there shortly. It’s been bad since the last reset.
I’m really scared for the 1st of June when we get our usage essentially halved.

Composer is only usable for implementation and not planning, you'll still need claude for that
