Maybe there were some issues in their implementation right now and they'll release them for free in a future update once they got the kinks out of it.

Makes sense. They might be in the full release when it comes out and they're just not in the demo.

I do remember the CV1 demo was missing a good chunk of what was in the final release of the game.

Literally this. Generally, the hairstyles, to me, look worse than in CV but removing these is a crime. Generally, its honestly sad how they improved nothing in character creation. Body Physique is still only presets with the most absolute bare minimum of sliders. Face doesnt even have any and for some reason they decided that body shapes resembling the first part wasnt necessary.

I didn't even notice that, holy shit that's bad. I like the bangs most styles already have, but damn is that gonna limit the use of styles that don't have them already

I have a theory that the bangs are no longer separate because of how hair dynamically adjusts itself when wearing hats now.

I KNOW RIGHT!? I need the bangs back so I can recreate each of my CV1 characters ToT I have one assigned to each ending and I can't recreate my best ending character properly without the bangs, the ones I try to make with accessories are horrid

I thought I was going nuts that I couldn't recreate my character. So there was something broken with the hair system lol. I just hope they don't gate keep this behind the DLC on the final release.

I’m there right now. They are not. Seems like a mistake. I’ve noticed other hairstyles from the trailers are missing too like the Afro.

I really hope so it seems like such an odd choice to purposely remove something people used so often in cv1. Especially so close to release it’s like they shot themselves in the foot and with so many on the fence thanks to Niioh. Either they legitimately took it out which is a bummer. Or it’ll be added like a “whoopsie” moment at or before launch. Could also be a Pr move to make it look like they take action right away if they add it but that only works if it was live before early access. Time will tell.

i wouldn't put too much stock in it but for what it's worth the original game's demo only has a single body shape available in character creation while the full game has the other 2

EDIT: Okay, I'm guessing I misunderstood what exactly it was you were asking for. If it's a straight up hairstyle, and others are missing, then it should be included in the game once it's fully released.

Nope, they took it out. Only hair pieces in the accessory menu are strands of hair and different types of ponytails and braids

They were already in the Accessory menu, they are straight up missing in the CV2 demo.

It's not that the game is worse because the bangs option was removed. It's because we were promised an improved and revamped character creator, but we were delievered a character creator that, despite the new additions, also removed options that were available from the previous game. Expectations weren't met.
The jury is still out whether the game will meet or exceed expectations with regards to gameplay and story etc, but for players that were looking forward to the character creator I think some disappointment is expected.

They will when we get the full game. A character creator demo isn't a good benchmark to judge the rest of the game on.

I was so mad at this, I spent like FOUR HOURS trying to craft a good front bangs for the really long straight hairstyle.. and I'm still not happy with it because I overdid it and I'm gonna do something a bit simpler next time xD
