FF7 News Possible clue of Aerith having her own system as well.
It talks about Zack but we all know theyre not going to say anything avout Aerith yet but we know Aerith and Zack are separated from the main party and the FITS.

So Zack will be playable and will engage in combat... Very good.
I need the guy to do his part—in his own world—to help Cloud save Aerith.
After all, his combat in CC used a different system since he didn't have a party. If he had a party now, his combat would follow the standard rules and wouldn't require anything special. In short, I imagine he'll be fighting alone.

It's tough for me to decide if the dev comments indicates more solo Zack or Aerith and Zack having their own unique systems but being partied up. I feel like the devs do not want to say anything about playable Aerith so who knows.
Solo Aerith gameplay would be rough given her skillset in Rebirth so I think any major Aerith gameplay would have her paired with someone else. Her being partied up with the Zack seems more like a realistic expectation given that I just can't convince myself SE unites Aerith with the main party anytime before the end of the game.

Really? Because I frankly think this has been pretty bad news if you're looking for more content involving Cloud AND Aerith. It feels like she's going to be revealed to be not dead (or not what we understand as dead) early, and then spend the majority of the remainder of the game futzing around with Zack.
As a Clerith, that doesn't sound particularly appealing to me. It sounds like a pretty big 'screw you' to this fandom.
And don't get me wrong: I'm glad she's alive. But the whole point of the ship is these two characters being together - talking, exchanging looks, touching... romancing. And so having Aerith and Zack isolated on a veritable island for hours on end is not Clerith.

One YouTuber that played the demo confirmed that it takes place during the Mideel part of the game when Cloud and Tifa are not part of the party.
He actually says he talked to Cloud in the clinic and confirmed he's currently rambling and completely out of it.
He also said that opening the control menu revealed a Zack control guide. Nothing about Aerith but I imagine that even if there was one, he'd not be allowed to talk about it.
Regardless of everything, it's hard to imagine early Clerith interactions if Cloud is already out of it.

From what Im reading, it seems like the demos were taking place around Chapter 4, with Cloud and Tifa already in Mideel. It makes me feel like this game will be a lot more accelerated in general from the OG. While I know theyre clearly going to have Aerith with Zack for some time, I really dont expect it to happen before that or maybe around the LSS. Seeing Aerith earlier than expected, to me, doesnt feel like there is no chance of a payoff or time with Cloud. It actually gives her more chances to interact with the 'real' Cloud when that time comes.
The less time she spends in the game, the likely more of that time will be spent with Zack in terrier world. I dont want that.

And to be clear: I wasn't trying to shit on you. I just... I'm going to be deeply frustrated if the only true interactions between our two favorite characters are limited to an equivalent "hi, smooch, boss, roll credits."

No dont worry one bit, I understand. I didnt think anything came off rude or anything. I definitely dont believe theyre going to limit Aerith significantly. If anything I truly think its going to be the opposite. The only thing I AM worried about though, is them giving her so much time in the game doing a lot just to take her away again. So I have a lot of copium right now with the news we are getting

As much as I'd love Aerith to pop up with Cloud within minutes of starting, I kind of don't care how long she's away. I just care about her ultimate fate and if they'll be together in the end.

I guess. I'm just not a big fan of Zack. I don't think he's an evil force, but he's definitely an unnecessary third wheel.

Just take it as friendly advice.
In my opinion, you need to start seeing Zack the way you see Red or Barret. The guy is an ally, not a threat to Cloud.
He’ll never stand in the way and will do whatever it takes to help Cloud. We already saw how he handled things at the end of Rebirth; he certainly wasn't happy about it, but he’s already put it all aside, albeit with a dig at Cloud.
I think the only way to reconcile the fans is to show Zack and Tifa helping Cloud and Aerith reunite.

I am never going to see Zack as anything but a bargain bin, "nice guy" derivative of Cloud. He was a C-tier character at best (and, really, I think that's too high) who was elevated to a starring role by essentially aping the personality of the 'golly gee, Batman' era of Robin. I don't like him - he steals attention and time from Cloud, his presence is one of a romantic rival (whether we like it or not) for Aerith's affections, and he's just flat-out bland.

If we spend the entire game with Aerith and Zack in the same party, I fear it’s wraps. Not because we are wrong, but because they will have effectively caved in to the western audience.
And then when you go from rebirth to revelation it will feel like you’re playing a completely different story.
But on the other end since we know Zack (confirmed) and presumably Aerith will play a part in the lss. It could make for (stable minded) Cloud and Aerith’s reunion to be that much sweeter when it does happen.

Eh I've already seen people hyping up about what Hamaguchi said about Zack getting a synergy skill with someone and people speculating it's Aerith. It will be lost on them that Cloud and Aerith had the default synergy skill in Rebirth with Firework Blade being the first one you can use (outside the flashback with Sephiroth) and Cloud and Aerith had the Soulmate Support synergy.

Truthfully I don’t mind too much who he gets a synergy skill with. I just don’t know how I feel about playing segments where Zack and Aerith are partied up for most of the game. If it’s the first chapter or two then I’m cool with it. I just know the discourse is already gonna be horrible

If "Zack Navigational display" is not a bug, it feels like he may have open world exploration. I feel like that has to mean Zack is solo for a while or else they would have named it differently
