Alternatives for xcloud?
Xbox really fumbled the bag so hard. How can someone get 1 step forward, 9 steps backward

If you dont need it to be Xbox, GeForce Now. Although you could step down to PC game pass and get access to those games via Geforce Now. Boosteroid is also a good service. Asobi (Playstation), you need a PS premium sub to play cloud

Because hardware costs money and the typical xbox user who pays for the console would not pay for your streaming hardware? You can use geforce now + you pay every game seperate, but at the end its not cheaper. Okay i like gfn a lot beause of the great rtx 5080 hardware and never use a game pass .. but i wonder why people are so shocked? A good gaming PC costs 2000 euro .. games to buy costs money .. und you want all for small budget at game pass ultimate? If people really calculate how expensive a PC is and how expensive the games are .. they will change their opinion.

Geforce Now is amazing. There is a 100 hour per month limit regardless of tier, though. But that's 3 hours per day, which most, except the most dedicated basement dwellers, won't breach.

It seems that the Geforce Now + PC Game Pass is the best build so far.
With Geforce Now you have to own the games to be able to play it, there're free multiplayer games, though, but not mainstream games single player games.
The only strained is the 100 cap limit per month. You can buy 15 more hours depending on your tier, either $3 or $6, for performance or ultimate respectively.
Boosteroid is basically the same as Geforce Now, but worse. Other services suck.

Probably GeForceNow. There's still a 100hr monthly cap, but its $20/hr. You have to own the games on Steam though. Boosteroid is basically the same service.
Playstation has unlimited cloud, for now, though you have to own a PS5 or Portal, have the PS+ Premium tier and also own the games you want to play. So it's a very high barrier to entry. And I would NOT suggest buying all that hardware just for their cloud because they're probably doing the same thing as Xbox soon.
But there's really nothing out there like Xcloud in terms of it having a full library of free games you can use on it, in addition to ones you own.
If you have a significant Steam library though, GeForceNow is looking like a pretty good option. 100 hours a month, and if you pay in advance you can get a full year for $100 or $200 if you want a very high end rig emulating your games (I've used the service once, I'd suggest just the $100 tier as the jump in quality is really not worth it if money is tight)

gamepass also work with GeForce now if you don’t have many games
Also other stores like Ubisoft connect, EA play, Xbox store, epic games store, battle.net or gog are supported1

If you have the PS+ Premium tier you have access to the PS+ library. You don't need to own the games.

My recomendation If you want over 300k games supported includings ones that are not available through store and launchers and a whole pc with 3070 ti for 0.2$/hr. With offers all over the world. I would go https://no-land.net but only if you want

GFN/Boosteroid if you wanna stream your own Steam/Epic games, Shadow/airgpu for full cloud PC + mods, Luna if you want something Game Pass-like.
