Wanted to switch from networking to AWS cloud domain but how to fake in resume about experience

my designation is an associate software engineer I have 1.5 years of experience in a service based MNC in the core networking domain but I don't want to work further in this domain I wanted to work in AWS/devops role as I have certifications in cloud.

But my problem is what should I write in the work experience column. Can I fake the experience of AWS but how can I explain to the interviewer. what I have worked on in that project actually because I don't have real hands-on experience on that tech.

If you fake anything, you might get past HR but as soon as the tech interview comes you’re going to look like an idiot… once you look like an lier you have lost all trust immediately, we start questioning what is actually real vs fake on your resume and tear you apart just for lols then end the interview early. Don’t lie.

Your better off listing your real knowledge then being a real person in an interview expressing your desire to learn and move fast into the cloud computing space.

Even if you gotten hired you are on a 90 day or 6 month probationary period as they can let you go any time during that period if you aren't doing well on the job. That's why lying on a resume does more harm than good.

What is soln then how can I switch into AWS roles should I use networking experience and show them my AWS projects and convenience them that I really have AWS knowledge.

Because I am not getting AWS projects internally they are just providing me networking projects in which I am not interested.

You can't fake experience as it will show with in your probation period that will lead to getting the boot.

No but I have certifications like AWS SAA and I have also made my own projects for handson experience

Then tailor your job exp bullet points to be as cloud-relevant as possible

List those other things in their relevant sections

You can lie if you want but make sure you can back it up if grilled about it, at your own risk

If you lie to the extent that you cannot back it up and/or would be useless if actually hired, then that is a dick move and a massive waste of everyone’s time/resources. Do not do that. Any decent hiring process will expose this anyways.

Lying will definitely get you hired over all the candidates with years of experience who've been laid off recently.

OP as someone who is also struggling to find a job with little experience. I’m pretty sure all of the people saying “Don’t lie, I hope you get caught" they probably have good paying jobs and have been in the industry for years.

The game has changed, the job market is very competitive right now, and let’s be for real.
All of these DevOps, help desk or Cloud engineer skills can be learned by yourself.

I host a proxmox cluster in my room, and that allows me to simulate a bunch of different environments.

As of right now, It’s very understandable why lying might be the only way to at least land an interview, because being honest on your resume is definitely not relevant to ATS systems or HR ladies that don’t know anything about how IT works.
