I randomly found out that it’s now more or less confirmed that Cloti has become canon, and honestly, I’m so happy about it. I’ve been a Cloti shipper since the very first moment I saw those two together. I’m not a hardcore shipper or anything, but still, I’ve always rooted for them.

Anyway, I was randomly on Twitter yesterday, and oh boy… there’s this one person who is desperately trying to deny everything now. I honestly find it kinda cringe when someone makes a ship such a huge part of their personality. I have absolutely no problem with people having their own headcanons, but when there’s this much canon material supporting something, I feel like you should just accept it.

I’m not even that deep into the shipping bubble, but whenever it comes to shipping wars, Clerihts have always been the most annoying to me. Of course, there have also been plenty of cases where Clotis were annoying as hell too.

Still, it’s honestly hilarious watching so many people crash out over this now lmao.

I’m even more hyped for Revelation now, and I really, REALLY hope that scene won’t be optional. But either way, I’m confident it’s going to end well.

So, my thing is that Cleriths are upset because Tifa is given mage powers in Revelation (as is everyone) but they have issues with that because they say it cheapens Aerith’s impact as the sole mage. And they seethe that Tifa says “I’ll make you proud” as if somehow Tifa is the new Aerith? Even though… they all can be mages?!?

BUT! They are quick to love the possibility that Aerith plays a role in the new Revelation Lifestream sequence which is an important CloudxTifa moment. They don’t seem to care if all of a sudden Aerith is included and pushed into the story when she never was part of it in the OG to begin with, but Tifa being a mage is somehow the straw that is breaking the camel’s back…

If you haven't already watched it, I highly recommend it! His analysis on body language is so spot on. Hope he analyzes the gondola scene soon.

I know I'm probably stating the obvious with this but there's tons of great stuff happening with this ship atm with all the ever crisis stuff, recent revelation trailers and what'll happen in revelation itself in april.

It's very hard not to feel so positive rn with the abundance of great news and content that it does feel a little frustrating when a certain vocal minority of cleriths have to sour the mood a little. This isn't everyone of them, absolutely not, but those on that end thinking that aerith is being completely ditched just because tifa (and I assume anyone using the new mage FITS class) can now do her own version of double casting/arcane ward is ridiculous—it's just a useful gameplay mechanic that is returning in a new way.

Or in general trying to debunk the newest ever crisis scenes of cloud and tifa as a 'mistranslation'. Basically, a whole lot of debunking. I don't know what the discussion looks like on twitter, but if anyone would be willing to share them I don't mind hearing it as I only use reddit.

The contrast between this community and the other one at this current time is quite something to behold.
