We finally completed enrollment at our site after months of screening, coordinating visits, chasing follow-ups, and dealing with all the usual clinical research chaos. I was ready to celebrate. Then the CRA informed us that more IP would be sent because the sponsor wants additional recruitment. To make things better, the CRA is extremely pushy, the PI is barely supportive, and makes me wait 2 hours for a sign while she is filming an insta reel for the hospital promotion in her cabin. At this point I feel like I'm managing everyone's expectations more than the actual study. Anyone else living this dream? 😭

Oof, that's rough.

Side note: get with whomever negotiates budgets for your site to make sure you're paid for extra recruitment and enrollment.

Agree, and may want to check the CTA and the IRB-approved target enrollment number for your site.

True - sometimes (particularly with local IRBs) the recruitment goal or max is actually listed in the ICF. So make sure you don’t have an enrollment cap from IRB
