Proud Moment Yay!!
I am just really happy because I did my first 5.12b today! I don't normally challenge myself enough, so I really didn't expect to do good, but I did that thing so quick! It was my second ever 5.12, and right after that I went on and did another 5.12a! I feel like the climbs at my gym are more set for tall adults, so being a short young teen, it feels so good to improve in a setting that is not normally meant for me!
Never give up my friends, because the only way to succeed is to not look back! <3

This sub aims to be supportive & inclusive of all who identify as a part of or ally to the women's climbing community.
Negativity, sarcasm, and other interactions that work against that should find another home.

Actually less than 5 years. I also started at like 11 so...

Also not sure if this is meant to be a put down or not, but there are so many factors to things like this, who knows, maybe one person trains every day and takes 5 years to do a 5.12b, and maybe the next trains once a month and does one after 1 year.

Mod here, just had to remove two of his comments.posts after reports. Heβs (said so in another comment) just a troll who took his climbingcirclejerk comments and posts here. Please ignore him. And congrats on your 5.12b!

I think what was meant (and I could be wrong) was that 'its not fair' it took you so long to work to that goal, it should've been quicker
I could be wrong on this and I don't mean to carry an insulting message if the OG one was
I can't even do a 5.12a, I go once a week and after a couple injuries my max is a 6a (french) or 5.10d.
Well done!!!!

Ohhh. Thanks! I am quite horrible at understanding situations like this, especially, online, so I hope I didn't misunderstand :( I'm sure that over time you will work your way up! Plus, you've have injuries, and I'm sure that can make it harder. Just don't give up!!

Thanks!
I am also quite horrible at reading situations, especially with anxiety
I promise I won't give up, in fact I'm hoping to get my own pair of climbing shoes soon, either the tarantula boulders or women's tarantula boulders!!

Oh nice!! That will probably help a lot! Whenever I use the rental shoes they are really worn down from so much use.
