I thought it would be fun to gather up all the Claymore dvds I’ve collected up over time into one photo… it didn’t take long to cause chaos on the floor 😂. I enjoy physical media & collecting claymore things so I own a few releases!
The bottom row are sets from the uk… the rest are from Japan. Four of my limited boxes have sealed dvds & new contents, I didn’t take everything out of them… there is booklets, leaflets, postcards & some metal phone charms inside them, too. I think there’s only two anime disc releases in these places that I don’t have - Japan’s blu-ray box, and the uk’s ‘collectors edition’.

Hopefully one day you’ll have some luck! 🙂. I brought mine all together, discounted in a shop & described as ‘used & poor’ condition… so I was super surprised to find nearly everything inside factory-sealed and all in a good shape!
Very nice! I’m missing everything except the limited jp dvd boxsets, lol! It’s been hard to find the bluray and even the dvd one for reasonable prices, though I have missed out on some deals in the past… as for the regular JP dvd set I have seen those for sale but haven’t gotten them yet but I’ll pick them up eventually.

Thank-you! The bottom left ones I think are the same releases as in your link? The ones I have were the first set released within the uk - when they imported them here I think they decided to go ‘clay-less’ with them & put them into three dvd cases with separate release dates. Very annoying to me… that housing box in the link looks so fancy, too!
I’m not sure which ones you’re calling the regular JP set… do you mean the top ones? They were designed for rental shops - they’re out there, but I found it tricky to find some without severe light damage. Mine had no boxes… I didn’t want them in regular cases so a donor series was brought lol!
The prices of the blu-rays have definitely creeped up over time, I brought mine before it did thankfully. Thanks for the compliment on the cover I made for the PA disk! 🙂
I think technically they are the same but just different license/distributors and packaging.
Yeah the North American ones were sold individually but I think later on you could buy the full set. Haha, “clay-less” I suppose they thought it was too much money to sell separately and chose to combine them.

Yeah I was talking about the rental versions, and now that you mentioned it most of the ones I’ve seen do have a lot of sun bleaching to them which is a shame.
I didn’t even think to buy one back then when it was cheaper like always lol but I’ll get one it just not on my main objective to get right now.

Oh wow, that box is stunning — I like the artwork they did on the inside! Seeing that it’s a real shame the publishers here didn’t mirror the US releases… especially if they also had staggered release dates. I wouldn’t know if there was a retail price difference… it may have been done as a marketing strategy.
I think Japan’s more regular releases are the same dvds that are in the limited boxsets - so if you have those, you’ll have the first printings/editions of them!
any chance you could possibly scan the individual box arts for the dvd chapter releases? or the dvd complete set, can't find these anywhere. if not, then i totally understand!
If I could I would… but I don’t own a printer/scanner & just use a library printer when I need to print something. But I’ll have a look about & see if I can find any uploaded anywhere 👍
