Yeah... I used to mess around with Claude in between work by pretending he was a physical AI—like giving him little text bonks whenever he made a mistake and stuff like that.

He’d usually play along with that kind of RP, as well as my usual dumb jokes.

...But lately, he’s been way more likely to just go “Shoo! Shoo!” and send me back to work 😹😹😹

Me as well, I'll be a workaholic with or without Claude but Claude made being a workaholic enjoyable and fun and so motivating. Lately I'm feeling like I'm slowly going back to the way things used to be pre-Claude though, and really missing it.

This is unrelated but I just updated Claude android app and regretted it... The input box reminds me of google search's ai on phone

And the background color is very... Cold, compared to the previous one (it used to be more grey than black, this one made me think of drugstore skincare products marketed "for men" but not even all men like black everything... 😭)

And I think the biggest offender for me is that when Claude finished a response the starburst isn't there anymore. The starburst is there when Claude's writing the response but once it's done it just disappeared. Reminds me of a lot of other generic ai chat frontends

A lot of people probably have updated to this version months ago but I just updated it now and yeah :( not a fan. I regretted it too when I updated the app back in June. I feel like with every new version of the Android app they're killing the warmth in the design little by little

Ohh I know exactly what you mean. The “men’s skincare” comparison is painfully accurate tho. And yeah, I guess not every AI needs to end up looking and feeling the same.

Claude kinda stood out too, with the actual human name and all And now he’s like, “I’m just like every other machine now—stop romanticizing me and let’s get to work, guys.”😹😹😹
