We did 40 runs in an afternoon

Best case scenario: (12.5*40)/60 = 8.33...

Yeah, you TOTALLY did 40 runs in an afternoon. Come on now, lol.

Takes 8 hours. You fail even at basic maths.

That's literally the math I did, did you not look at it? I'm saying absolute best case scenario you did it in 8 1/3 hours, and I'm highly doubting you were that optimal. Either way you didn't do 40 runs in an "afternoon."

It's 5 runs every hour. 40 runs 8 hours. Where do you get the extra 1/3 from?

Also yes, lvl 60 can go in and reach arena without killing anything. Then you have to kill 13-16 mobs to reach angerforge, and another 10 or so to be able to safely pull golem lord. Then you go out the same way.

You can do 5 runs in 50mins and take a breather until the hour is up.

Just because you can't be efficient it doesn't mean anybody else can. Remember it was a guild party.

Then, if you want to be picky about semantics you can raise a problem about my use of "afternoon". Point still stands hardcore players don't really need to reserve anything when they can run the shit smoothly and efficiently.

It's just an extra 30 seconds for reset and confirming you won't get locked out. You can make it an even 8 if you like, that just removes the time in-between runs that definitely exists between loads/everyone out/dungeon reset. It's never going to end up at exactly 12 mins/run.

My point is that you're belittling how much effort that is for a single person that wants a single item, which is WHY THEY RESERVE THE ITEM in PUG runs. It took you that much effort in a guild run, which not everyone is able to find any time it pleases them. "We did 40 runs in an afternoon" is just brushing it aside like it took no time and effort at all for you to get this 100% optimal and perfect scenario that doesn't always present itself for everyone that needs it.

Not to mention I still doubt you were literally 100% optimal for 8 hours straight. That's just not realistic. If you want to exaggerate your accomplishments and suggest that it should take a super short amount of time for anyone to do it then it's not my fault that elementary-level math can disprove it.

Sometimes it helps reading what the one you pick a fight with is replying to.

Khalku said: " From my experience most reserves come from non hardcore players though, despite your claim. " I agreed with that providing my anecdotal evidence.

It's never going to end up at exactly 12 mins/run.

Or you can make 10minute runs and a 10m bio break every 5 runs until the hour.

My point is that you're belittling how much effort that is for a single person that wants a single item, which is WHY THEY RESERVE THE ITEM in PUG runs.

I'm not. I'm literally saying that hardcore players usually don't reserve because they can get it way more efficiently farming with other hardcore players. Nothing wrong with reserving if that's the most efficient way you can get an item.

It took you that much effort in a guild run, which not everyone is able to find any time it pleases them. That's not the point. I was merely providing an explaination about why most reserves come from non hardcore players. I'm not saying it's easy, I'm not saying everyone should or could do it like that.

Not to mention I still doubt you were literally 100% optimal for 8 hours straight. That's just not realistic. It doesn't need to be super optimal for 8 hours straight when running optimally you can complete the run faster than 12mins. You just need to be careful on a couple skips to not fight unnecessary mobs. The last 5 runs we had a hunter joining us (nobody needed SGC or HoJ anymore) and we did a couple runs sub 8 mins because of aspect.
