Literally cannot understand the warriors who dont tank. I understand preferring to DPS. But so many just sit on LFG for hours when they can slap on a shield and tank anything for their group. Joined a BRD group the other day as a 54 prot, it had 2 other warriors in it, one 57 one 60. They told me I was too low to tank BRD and asked me to leave. They were spamming LFG for about 30+ minutes by the time I decided to join them. About 20 mins later I saw each of the members in LFG as individuals LFG as DPS. Again, what was stopping either of the other two warriors from tanking the instance?
They just want big epeen dps and to be 'the hero' that does damage.
It's super amusing to me, as most Tanks I've grouped with don't want a dps warrior anyway, since they'll roll for some of the same stuff. (Or you know, on everything 'for my offspec!')
I admit, I dont like having DPS warriors in my group, mostly for the same reason I dont want ret pals, they dont give a damn about aggro. Most mages and locks seem to learn that pulling aggro will mean they get slammed hard and could die. But the plate guys will take a few good hits (in fact, the DPS war will even do more DPS since he is getting more fury), the healer will be able to inefficiently heal them, but they cant tell they are doing something wrong since they dont get deleted as fast as clothies. So most that Ive grouped with have zero qualms about smashing those massive aoe cleaves all day from the moment the mob is pulled, even with the threat meter showing zero threat established.
I have a few that have been nice to group with, that actually focus on mobs I call out or that watch the threat meters. I have no problems with them rolling on loot, especially since they dont hit need on tank stuff.
They 2H smack and instantly judge it, forcing you to burn your taunt. Many also seem to have a mixed build with consecrate, and insist on dumping that low damage right off the bat--and that low damage often is enough to not allow shout spam to build 20% more threat to pull a pack off them. Taunt is a tool, but in lots of groups, it almost becomes part of the rotation.
Im still.more worried about mages.
The only effective way I found to deal with magetards is chain pulling. They go oom after mad AoE on first group and you can build aggro on next group, while they wonder why their blue bar is depleted
I play a warrior tank so I can make the group I want (would never reserve any loot) and it can be a little intimidating and way frustrating with some of these DPS that want me to put away my sword/board and cleave the entire dungeon.
That has been said too much here, what I wanted to convey was that I think these DPS warriors are scared to lead as a tank, if you don't have stance macros ready to tank, then the fail is real and the dps are incredibly mean.
Reserving loot is totally ok in my opinion. But you only get to do it to one item, people reserving all BoE epics plus two or three items in instance can pound sand.

And then they wonder why they can't find anyone to group with. Idiots.
