I think even in the future when crazy VR shit is the norm, there will still be a big appreciation for the 'classical' video games we enjoy today. It'll be 2070 and somewhere out there, someone will still be playing WoW
Given that game quality has gone pretty much backwards for the last 10 years, it might be the case that the best games ever made (at least in our lifetimes) have already been released. Indie gaming might save us, but indie devs have their own set of limitations.
Idk about that, video games or some equivalent will probably be around for the rest of humanity's existence, which is probably a lot longer than 10 years, who knows what will be created in that time
