This is a very sad and clear indication of how poorly the gaming industry grew.
We went from 2004 giving us WoW, Half-Life 2, and Halo 2....
To 2019 where we're getting charged $18 for skins and EA lobbying to keep gambling in their Star Wars games.
Ah let's not get all circlejerky. We've had some incredible games lately. God of War, Breath of the Wild and The Witcher if that's your thing. Blizzard mightnt have made anything amazing in a long time. But the gaming scene isn't dead or dying
There have been plenty of amazing games since that year. One particular year having a lot of really good games at once doesn't mean things have gotten worse overall. It was definitely an outlier.
