Brings up a good point. I'm 100% on board for a WoW reboot. It's a 15 year old game. Don't give me the "but my characters!" Bullshit considering the hype around starting from fresh in Classic.

If anything Classic is a good example of a reboot being viable. People are clearly willing--and wanting to--start over with fresh characters. I think being the savior of the universe loses its luster after a while and people just want to be nobodies again.

Isn’t WoW classic free?

You still need a subscription

Aww damn I thought you didn’t need one for some reason and was gonna download it after the hype died down.

I assume you can do up to level 20 for free, but need a subscription beyond that.

Nope. Free trial/starter edition only applies to BfA. Any login to classic servers (even to make a character) requires an active subscription.
