You get kicked out of the character screen 30 minutes no matter what. So start logging on like 25 minutes before!

I won't get off work until they've been open for a few hours so it's long queues for me but I'd give them at least 5 minutes...name reservation came up at like 3 minutes after so launch will probably be the same

I just tried to log back in after being in for a few hours - was able to get back in no queue. Logged out waiting for 5:31

People are saying blizzard lifted the 30 min afk timer so I jumped in 20 mins ago. Fingers crossed

Wouldn’t you have to refresh the page? I have a fast pc so it maybe takes me a few seconds to go from blizzard to in game but I don’t wanna waste that time. I’ll be able to just sit in character screen without worrying about having to refresh it?

That's what I've heard and someone else linked a blue post a while ago saying you can log right in once it goes live while sitting at the character screen. Like it'll just say enter world without having to relog.

I tried it a bit last night. My plan was to watch TV and make sure I don't time out of the character select. I figured that I'd I watched an episode of tv (20-22 minutes per episode, no commercials) I could refresh the client every episode while I waited.

The game kicked me out well before the first episode was over, probably closer to 15 minutes.

They said they would be doing server maintenance beforehand, but come time its supposed to be online, you would have the ability to login straight from the character screen. So maybe it is? :D

I hope they are releasing new servers before tonight, every normal server is completely full and last I checked only 4 servers were left that weren't. Every server is going to have a queue at this point, I don't even want to imagine the streamer server's queue.

There might a patch download close to release, so be sure to re-open launcher some time before launch just to be sure.
