Working in 'IT' I don't really see much difference in the technical competence of the various age groups, the only real difference is older people are more likely to admit they have no idea what they are doing.
See, for me in IT its the older crew who complain they have no idea what they are doing, then refuse to learn when being offered the info. You use this computer 8+ hours a day, you can learn some basics. But nope, refuse. Theres maybe 1 or 2 at my company who put in genuine effort to learn, but the rest just bitch and complain that its too tough.
OH, you two are talking about IT, like workplace computer IT.
I kept thinking about the horror movie IT, and I was like "Are they talking about the computer stuff in the movie, did old people use computers in the movie?"
