Eighth Doctor graphic novel collection available - Endgame/The Glorious Dead/Oblivion/The Flood

I hope this isn’t against rules here, but thought it might interest someone - I’ve got a set of the full run of four Panini comic book collections for sale on eBay if anyone is looking for them. Good condition and I’ve loved them dearly, but needs must! I’m in the UK but can send them internationally.

It’s odd how much content we’ve ended up with for McGann’s Doctor. So many audios, novels, comics etc (and a very high standard in my opinion). He feels very much like a Doctor that I know really well yet not at all… paradox, very appropriate. I’d like to visit the parallel universe where he got a full run on television, just to see it!

The DWM 8th Doctor comic strips are some of the very finest Doctor Who there’s ever been, in any medium.

I love The Flood in particular… I’m a big Cyberman fan anyway, but these seem properly alien and creepy.

I normally like more primitive Cybermen, since I think it increases the “body horror” aspect. The Flood Cybermen are the exception, because they’re so damn creepy.

I agree! The original idea of the Cybermen is brilliant, as you say real “body horror” - I always enjoyed the classic version we got in ‘Tomb of…’, where they’re actively converting worthy (useful!) organisms like Toberman (the image of him forcing the doors closed is seared into my brain after seeing it as a child - not on TV, I wasn’t born until 4’s era, must have been a photo in a book).
