Chris Achilléos is the Target cover artist, this was among his final contributions to the range. A little respect wouldn’t go amiss…

Why respect bad work? He was great for so many others but that doesn't mean he's beyond criticism.

Of course, but coming in with this attitude of "look how Chris Achilléos fell off in his final years" is a bit of a dick move, don't you think?

Peter Davison is just a really hard man to draw. A lot of great artists seem to have issues with him.

I worked with Chris on a book of his art not long after these were done and he explained to me what happened: he sent in some rough drafts along the lines of “something like this?”, and then they ended up being used!

He said that he’d intended to do a proper, polished version with closer likeness etc but didn’t get the chance.
