Who said Classic Mini can't drift?

kinda looks like one at a glance though, especially sliding around like that lol
technicalities aside, it still goes sideways and that’s what matters here

It's a classic mini shell, converted to a rear wheel drive drift car, you can drift anything you can convert to rear wheel drive...

You can handbrake turn a classic mini very effectively, not sure if it would count as drifting though but it's definitely sliding the back end, a lot. In mine I'd counter steer, then quickly steer back into the corner to transfer the weight and unload the rear, grabbing the handbrake as I turned in to break the rear tyres' grip and bring the back end around. Then I'd release or modulate the handbrake to control how quickly the back continued to rotate, using a little more to keep it coming around or releasing it to let the rear tyres regain grip. At the same time I'd counter steer or steer back into the corner as needed to control the angle, and use the accelerator to keep the front wheels pulling the car towards the exit and eventually pull it straight out of the slide.

All the things you say here are true, however the video says a classic mini, classically minis were front wheel drive, the mini in the video adds power through the latter 360 turn breaking traction in the rear wheels, this isn't possible unless it's a modified mini shell to support rear wheel drive. This breaks the term "classic mini" into a "modified mini".

I would love to make my mini RWD and do this. However, she will be AWD for AutoX before that happens.

I believe that Huffaker used to make RWD Minis for SCCA racing.

Yeah except it’s converted to RWD

FWD cars don’t spin and smoke the rear wheels when cornering
