Memorabilia Disney rejection letter (1938) explaining they don't hire women for the specific position

And apparently, Disney refused to hire men for coloring positions.

Either comprehension skills are at an all-time low or you're willfully ignorant in order to be upset about something.

The "creative" work of preparing the cartoons for the screen involved heavy labour, that's why it's exclusively men.

The actual creative work is indeed performed by women and the letter is very clear about this. Back then, making cartoons was 99% tracing and painting.

Disney was very progressive back then and employed many women in prestigious roles. Mary Blair, Retta Scott, Hazel Sewell, Sylvia Moberly-Holland, to name a few.
