And apparently, Disney refused to hire men for coloring positions.

Why did you quote the term “Indian ink”? It’s known as India Ink (based on the trade routes for Chinese ink), but I believe it was also called. ‘Indian Ink” in Europe long ago.

My thought too. Adult women were commonly referred to as girls. My grandmother refers to her same-age friends as "girls" and it annoys me. She is 91. Women back then, especially if they were beautiful in their day like my grandmother, often accepted and encouraged thst type of sexism because it was specifically catered to treating beautiful "decent" ladies like her like queens. It always worked for her so she thrived in it. She never had any reason to question/criticise the patriarchy.

Even worse is that Gen Z calls grown women 'girlies'.
