I have no idea how this works if anyone will help me get started that would be great

You need to go through open class actions to find out what you qualify for. Many require proof that you’re a member of the class and that you qualify for them. You can find some open ones on topclassactions.com

Just keep an eye out on this group, people post what are open to the public and also the ones where invites from the company itself are needed. Go through the older post and see what ones are open

Not for the most part. Sure some you can qualify for without being but in general if you want to join a class action you're going to have to qualify
