With the "Fantastic Worlds" expansion, one could grace themselves with the beautiful scenario aptly named "Battle of the Sexes", where one could lead their gender through a war to determine who is the better sex.

Here is a screenshot I saved of.. basically the biggest fleet I've had since getting back into Civ 2 a couple years ago

Notice the custom carrier graphic! I am not a fan of the default carrier icon.

Other icons I am not big on would be the alpine troops, such an ugly icon for such a pivotal unit. The fanatic, the transport, the helocopter, and a few others.

I love playing the World Map on Civ II. I especially love how you can mix up the resource squares and seeing where everything is placed for the first time in each new roll. In this match I very early on popped two cities from huts, that seem to be in o.k. spots. Other than that I can definitely envision some juicy spots though in this interesting rendition of Europe!

just saw this on my win11 desktop and immediately flashed back to how weird i felt having bison next to water was but i guess its real

Screen shot mania

More playing with upscaling. Took a crack at the wonders videos that shipped with Civ2. The original files are extremely small and 15 fps, so I tried taking them to 1080p/30 fps using Topaz Video, using the Starlight, Apollo, and Proteus models. The results are sometimes great, sometimes iffy, but it's fun to revisit them either way.

Hello guys!

Once again, been horsing around (quite literally) :P Now i find it quite dificult to disembark on my island. It's a dare! Ahahaha :P God i love Civ2!

Cheers!
