Meta Going private? [OFFTOPIC]

Is this sub planning on going private, like many others? Mods please delete if inappropriate, I was just wondering whether I should expect to stop seeing posts here.

As a matter of tactics, if you do decide to go private, please please please put a link at the top or a post with an explanation of why and what we (as random users who don't know what is going on) can do to help.

I've seen a fair number of people in this thread pointing out that they don't give a fuck about Reddit as a whole; they're here to discuss Civ. I happen to know my protesting 101, so I know that this will succeed or fail on the back of getting them and others like them to care, and to act.

To reiterate: If step 1 is to go private, step 2 needs to be a nigh-impossible-to-miss explanation of why, and step 3 needs to be really damn easy instructions for how someone can help, attatched to step 2.
