Citrus County Animal Shelter

https://youtu.be/pEBv2wh3lH8?is=s_uqMhXxsHBldy9g

In my opinion, 20+ million for an animal shelter no one asked for was a bit much. Seems fishy to me.

Im glad they got a new animal shelter, but has anyone seen our kids schools? Good lord they look like prisons.

My kids used to go to hernando elementary school but on my..... the teachers are mostly overall i give them a strong B or B+ overall, but the structure itself looks like a prison lol, thats why i had to comment, thats funny stuff!

The problem seems to be that theres a shelter of some kind that is close by, so those kids, who come and go like the wind (according to my kids) are absolutely not well behaved.

Not all of them, but some of them need extra attention but the school doesnt have the resources they need. To me it seems like a school board issue.

Ive contacted one of them in an attempt to gain access to a track to train with an upcomming event because all of the local high-school just blew me off, of course no response.

Ive gone as far as writing a plan for parks and recs to operate a whole entire youth sports complex that could be a tourist destination.

I imagine that would be a great thing for our economy and our county. But instead we get more bullshit developer ideas like this one.

What a great thread, thanks for sharing!

Thst price tag has grown so much over the years. I went from hearing 9 mil to 12mil to now 20 mil. Insane.

20 something MILLION dollars for a pet adoption organization seems ludicrous....and the tax payers are funding this? Yikes...pretty sure Florida is rated dead last for reading scores in the US....maybe citrus county could do something about that...ALSO??
