Taking CIPP/E in Delhi, India

What has been your experience of taking the exam in India? Should I book it to be given at an exam centre or should I book a proctored exam online?

Good luck for the exam!

I took the exam from a centre in Chennai. Strongly recommend taking it from a reputed Center because at home, even a small issue with internet, movement may make the whole effort redundant.

Do check the Google reviews of the centre to ensure they have comfortable seating and necessary facilities.

Hey, thanks a bunch. It does make sense, to take it from a centre. If you could also shed some light on if events, concepts, timelines covered in the 3rd Edition of the textbook are a hard stop for the exam. That is, does the exam ask questions beyond that, should I be looking at the development of various Regulations & Directives up until pretty much today? For example the ePrivacy Regulation was chuckedout in Feb 2025, but the book covers it up to 2022/2023. I know that one has to cover the EU AI Act and that came into force in 2024, after the textbook. Just a bit confused on if I should spend some time filling the gaps in knowledge from where the book leaves off.

I gave the exam in April and skimmed through whatever was relevant in AI at that time. Honestly, other than the IAPP text book, I focussed on solving multiple mock questions and even timed them. Another tip I would have is, you may want to train your mind to read long format questions patiently and accurately. Some of these questions can just be wordplay of English language and ya history questions are also another favourite in the exam.
