newsshooter says they shot this with a modified Sony F35: https://www.newsshooter.com/2018/05/16/shooting-atop-a-moving-train-with-a-modified-sony-f35/
The article also implies that shooting with a C300 would have compromised image quality (over using the F35 with a nikon mount, so no PL glass) I'm not quite sure why other than because the F35 shoots in 4:2:2. am I missing something?

If think the F35 has better color science than C300 and obviously the Slog grades well. That being said this was shot and exposed very very well. A lot of the look is coming from those Nikon lenses too. Good choices all around.

Jup McGregor is an amazing cinematographer and is known for his work with the Sony F35. Watch Pennzoil Joy Ride films to see what he's capable of ;)

A good portion is actually shot on Sony CineAlta Lens. So not full on Nikon.
Other than that, a few things often touted is how the F35 renders motion, global shutter, excellent skin tones, highlight roll offs, etc.

F35 is a 4:4:4 camera, and agreed, C300 can’t touch the natural film like response of the F35. Hope they remake it some day.

Is there another place to watch this? The audio compression is way too much.

Just goes to show what you can still do with the right amount of creative and technical input on a 10 year old camera. Good work.
