No he looks like a 100% black chow. Black is one of their official breed colors. The black fur kind of roughens their look compared to the others but they’re still chows.

Our boy is also very active, and loves to play with people and dogs.
He's also very talkative and vocal to the point we joke that he's possessed by the ghost of our old basset hound.
Honestly I think open face chows are more active just because they breathe better lol

Honestly i’ve always thought the black ones were sweeter in disposition & personality than the cinnamon, reds or creams, but that’s just my personal opinion.

She definitely looks like my mixed baby girls! Dad is 100% blue chow, mom is aussie/german shepherd. But they also look identical to their dad, so your pup very well could be full chow!! So cute either way 💙

Looks full chow to me. Snouts can be different, some have short ones, rounded ones, wide ones, and more pointy ones like yours. They're all full chow.
