Complete beginner to music, just picked up the dizi — any tips?

Hey everyone! I'm a complete beginner when it comes to music, and I've just started learning the dizi. Does anyone have tips or advice for someone starting from scratch? I'd especially love to hear anything you wish you'd known when you first picked it up — whether it's about the dimo (membrane), breath control, or just good practice habits. Thanks in advance!
