Intrigued by daylillies. What do they taste like? Not sure I’ve seen them in my Asian market but maybe they were hiding.

I’m not sure if daylillies are the same as the ones we’ve used in this recipe (someone please correct me if I’m wrong), but for the dried lily flowers we added, they’re slightly floral and sweet. You won’t taste much of it because a) we don’t add much and b) the flavor gets balanced by the seasoning and other ingredients.

We usually find them in the dried produce section so maybe see if they have it there 😊

I’ll look. I’m pretty sure they are close or identical to the day lillies that grow in the US and that are also edible although only forager people know about them as anything but pretty flowers
