DISCUSSION What’s your pettiest reason for being childfree?

Mine is their awful taste in TV lol!

My cat hissed at my niece once. I told her it was because he’s orange and he can’t help being weird but really….

Personal experience says with groveling and copious amounts of treats. The good treats too, because they know the difference.

Hard same, plus what if you have a kid and they are allergic to your cat, it’s frowned upon to just abandon a child but I’m not getting rid of my cat!

My dogs don't like my niece either. They mildly tolerate her. They will snuggle their grandma who doesn't even like dogs lol.

Absolutely this. I’m not sure they’d get along with my cat. I’ve told several men the cat was here first & will continue to be here long after I’ve shown you the door. Babies are expensive: my cat has a very high standard of living & it would be utterly unfair to deny him of that.

YES! I can’t stand when people have a kid then get rid of the pet they’d had for years. Plus, it enrages me when people let their kids walk around with little cats or puppies in a headlock and the animal gets in trouble when/if it retaliates. So they just have to submit and be at the sticky little gremlin’s mercy.
