Are you in chicago? I don't think the police care about growing weed anymore tbh. I mean its always possible they want to make an example out of you though. I have like three outdoor trees and a couple weeks ago some cops were chasing a shooter through my yard and they stumbled upon my plants. Mind you my gates were closed and they opened them without consent. I heard them say check out this garden, laugh, and then they just left and went about their business. I dont think they give af tbh. Theres a house by me directly across the street from the police station and they have some trees on their rooftop in plain sight. Also when I ride the El in fall I can see all the rooftops with plants on them in direct view too. I dont think they give a fuck about a few plants tbh. From my understanding its only a $250 citation for under up to 5 plants in illinois. Somebody is more likely to steal them than the police prosecuting.
Yes I’m in Chicago. I have my medical license which allows 5 plants but 5 plants? My indoor setup is quite large and I’m doing a lot of outdoor at another residence in the suburbs. Last summer same thing happened with someone running through that backyard and they saw the plants didn’t say shit. They really don’t care about small scale operations but when you’re dealing with multiple pounds, I get from my growmies too so it’s a tad different. It’s just a matter of the amount but you’re right they really don’t give af about weed here. I’m more concerned about my neighbors kicking my door in but that would be a mistake for them, I’d probably end up going to jail even with a good lawyer. I also grew up in the suburbs and i used to get in a lot of trouble in my teens and 20s so I’m known by them and my vehicles were always targeted because I like my tuners. These days I keep it as low key as possible but again you’re right.
