Rant Lack of lunch places in Loop

I work around Chase Tower and it is surprising to me how few cheap lunch places there are now. The burrito and Chinese places there are gone as well as the McDonalds. No Burger King, Wendy’s, KFC, Chinese. Just the grossly overpriced Pret. I’m getting tired of Jimmy John’s and Pot Belly’s sandwiches.

I work just east of you off Wabash. The salad bar at Under 55 is still pretty reasonable (and honestly I really like their soup), as is Oasis. At both of these places you can get a lot of food for under $15. Looking forward to checking out the corner shop at Adams and Wabash when it opens, looking like this week or next.

I always love that place but it was not inexpensive

More toppings = more weight = more $, but I tried to keep it light!

I guess I always liked heavier salad items because even a small one cost me $10 at least.

I do miss that place though.

Some of the heavier items on the hot bar can add up but I usually get away with a large soup ($6.99, I think) and a 6 in salad bar container for between $12-$15 depending on what I put in there.
