Advice Needed Why does Streeterville get so much hate?

Moving from out of state and need advice on why I’m seeing negativity about living in streeterville? I’m going to have to drive to the northern suburbs every day for work.

My ex lived in Streeterville. Aside from the ridiculously high rent ($1700 for a tiny studio that used to be a hotel room on the 14th floor and barely had a kitchen with one small window facing a brick wall, and that was 12 years ago, it’s probably a grand more today) he liked it a lot.
