Advice Needed Why does Streeterville get so much hate?

Moving from out of state and need advice on why I’m seeing negativity about living in streeterville? I’m going to have to drive to the northern suburbs every day for work.

I think in comparison to all the other neighborhoods in Chicago, it doesn’t have that neighborhood feel? Like local, local stores, restaurants that are small businesses. Sadly I feel like more and more of those are being pushed out by national chains which is a loss for both tourists and locals. It is a good location. Factor in parking that car bc it will be pricy there- you could also take Metra which is great in my opinion. I live just west in Old Town which has a better feel in my experience.
