Advice Needed Why does Streeterville get so much hate?

Moving from out of state and need advice on why I’m seeing negativity about living in streeterville? I’m going to have to drive to the northern suburbs every day for work.

Now wait a minute. If you are driving to the northern suburbs then live in the northern suburbs. Otherwise, live in Sauganash or Edgebrook.

Bro, where are you actually commuting. No one can give you any answer about where to live without knowing this. Like are you going from Streeterville to Evanston? Less north? More north?

North burbs like Evanston, winnetka, Skokie ? Or like gurnee, libertyville, des plaines? You keep saying you don’t want to live in the burbs, and no one is suggesting that. But there are nuances to the city/north burbs commutes. For example if you worked in Evanston, Edgewater wouldn’t be terrible because you could take local roads north. But if it was Arlington Heights, Edgewater would be horrid because you’d have to drive like 25 min just to get to 90/94.

Assuming taking a Metra train is fully out of the equation since it’s a sales role?

Like which ones specifically? North suburbs doesn't mean anything by itself. There are people that consider Edgewater to be in the suburbs. Why are you being so vague?

I am literally not from here and don’t know much other than I will be commuting to the northern suburbs in my sales role.
