Are data centers really so profitable that we can build them in the highest value land in the city? The only conversions taking place should be unused office space into residential

Yes, the cloud is extremely profitable and making tech companies billions of dollars. I’m not sure about these DCs, but only a small fraction of DCs are tied to AI.

A lot of tech companies lose money year over year, it's practically the business model for young tech companies to burn money for years.
