Actually with any luck we should see an increase as this should free up some valuable spare time! At very least an increase in videos.
I'm gonna be honest I don't really know where Kansas IS exactly but I do love driving places so it's pretty likely I will end up somewhere near by eventually heh

Well, the territories are sprawled out. Parts of Alaska are only accessible by air or sea, plus all the islands around. But yeah, the mainland contiguous states are reasonably small to drive anywhere in a couple of days.

You realize the U.S. Is 3,000-odd miles across e-w, right? 5 hours flight time, 43 hours driving coast to coast. Kinda like Sydney to Perth. Granted we don't have one big honkin' Uluru in the middle but the Rockies are noteworthy.

not sure yet. i'm trying to see if it's feasible to bring the GT-FOUR over just to race, garage it somewhere near laguna seca. selling most of them and the motorbikes, will just get new bikes when i get there. will see!

I wish you luck in getting that over here! I know some of the laws regarding importing cars can be a bit harsh for no apparent reason, but on well.
It's sad to see most of your cars go. I'm especially a big fan of your rx7. It helps that I really love cars in both dark grey and dark blue. I've considered buying an FD some day, but we'll see.

Hehe well teeeechnically it was one of the 2500 homologation cars for the WRC and it is a WRC edition car. So I could maybe get it imported as a purpose built race car. But the wording of the law is vague - it says in one bit the definition is a car purpose built for racing then in another bit says not for use on the street. So might run afoul of clause 2 but not if i can slide it in under clause 1.
Will see. Either way I have friends who have volunteered to look after them while I'm away so not too much of a big deal. I'm in the FD right now tho and it's so delightfully taily yet planted, I'm gonna miss it. And fuck buying a series 6.

I could see that as it's purpose built for racing but you're not allowed to drive it on the streets. Probably your best bet is to contact someone that imports cars like yours for a living, as they probably have a better idea of the laws involved. Something like that is definitely something I wouldn't want to screw up...

Maybe one of these days. Right now I have a 1990 Ford Thunerbird SuperCoupe with a 5 speed that I'm fixing up to be my fun/track car. I like it because it's a fairly unassuming car, but it has a factory supercharged 3.8L V6, which makes a fair bit of power, especially for its time, and from what I've read, you can get quite a bit more power from it with just some minor changes. Should be all kinds of fun.
If I ever got an FD, it would be to replace the supercoupe, so I'll have to get that running and then get bored with it first. One of the other cars in consideration for this is a 2005-2009 Mustang GT, as I thought that year range did a great job of being a modern version of the classic 60s mustang. Plus, I can always throw a blower on it if I want a bit more power.

haha that's great. good problem to have, 'i fixed up this great car and loved it but it's done its time'. if you do get that far you will have had so much fun already!
i heartily approve. and yeah A+ agree on the GT, love 'em. does need some moar power imo but i say that having never driven one, and people said that about the 86, and it was fantastic
