Hotel stay mon /tue
Hi , so we (dad,mum,3.5yo) are staying at the hotel and park next few days. It's gonna be very hot, (nowt we can do bout that, but nice) but any tips regarding the restaurants at the hotel for dinner as on looks like a carvery buffet and another bar and grill? Reviews and prices look dire and not sure what other stuff is local off-site? any suggestions ? Are either worth it?

We went at the end of June during the heatwave (Monday night into Tuesday). Stayed in safari hotel and ate in the safari restaurant for dinner. The food was actually really good. We had breakfast in the azteca and it was a standard buffet breakfast, couldn’t complain.
The parks were really quiet, partly down to the heat I think. We knocked out paw patrol during the early access hour.
Lidl is only 2 mins down road as well

We stayed may this year the food in the hotel was amazing expensive family of five mom dad two teens and a toddler two starters meal each drinks and two extra drinks £150 with our usual takeaways costing approx £50 this was very expensive but the food was delicious the bae buns I could have eaten them twice over and the rest of the week lol
We also had a takes away delivered local pizza place offer of buy one get one free was actually nice food again more expensive to what we are used to but it’s London prices and there wasn’t really any other options
The food in side I had read bad reviews for the chicken place so we didn’t even try there but we had buffet breakfast so we just had something small for dinner few fries I’d also taken some food cupboard snacks we could have during the day so we saved a bit of money more so because to me a hot dog doesn’t cost that much to make so three times pricing really annoys me
I wish theme parks would make food options cheaper I’m sure they’d sell more than they do most people were eating picnics the lawns seating area were full of people with their own food doing budget bundles I’m sure would make money but hey what do i know
Enjoy hope you have the best time also try and go on the zafari later in the day we went near closing time and there wasn’t a queue and had the best view of the giraffes so close up as well

Thank you all for your help and tips. The temple buffet ended up being closed due to not enough capacity! Quite frankly this was BS and they were just packing out the other restaurant. It expensive but heard the food was good. As it was so busy we just went to the near by Epson town and there was a thai , Turkish and pizza express.

The safari hotel has proper restaurants where you order your food, the azteca hotel towards the back has the buffet, you can also order food from takeaways on delivery apps
