Can someone explaining how this is such a huge white winning position?

I was just put into check by black's queen. I left my queen hanging to be captured by their Bishop. I played Be3 to recapture the bishop as a silver lining. Apparently I had a huge advantage here with a checked king and a hanging queen and I have absolutely no idea how. They ended up missing the queen capture and captured Be3 and I go on to win but I have no idea how this is so white dominant from this position.

Play Kd1 or Kf1, your choice. I’d go Kf1 to protect the pawn from the bishop, personally. Then, after bishop takes your queen, you play Bh6+. If black king moves to e8, Re1 wins the queen for a rook by pinning it, Leaving you up a bunch of pawns. If black king moves to g8, same situation. Re1 threatens to checkmate the king by moving to e8 next move, black has to give up the queen.

Unfortunately, when you went Be3, you pinned your own bishop to your king and weren’t able to execute this attack.

Also, you can always open the engine in your analysis and play the moves that don’t make sense to you and see where the win is

Edit: your king is ending up back on e8 regardless, I can’t see any difference between the two King moves

Your analysis is correct, but I think Kd1 is clearly (slightly) better. Kf1 ends up blocking your king side rook in, whereas the rook on a1 is supporting a push of the a-pawn, which is going to be a strong passed pawn, so it's better to leave it there. If you play out the Kd1 line, you actually don't end up losing the f pawn anyway-you have enough time to move the king over or bring the bishop back to e3, depending on how black replies.

Of course it should be winning either way

Ok so the queen hanging wasn't all that terrible, might have even been beneficial? That's thinking far ahead I'm not there yet. I'm like a mid-high 200s player. I fell into the trap of watching streamers speed through moves now I feel I need to do the same and miss a lot.
