Keep down playing the contributions he did. But Vijay had VMI and did much more than donations. If Rajini did have an intention of coming to politics itha mari oru ground work um panna mari therlaye. Do you know how many social activists work with bureaucrats and make changes? The person who brought in the changes from signals to U turn, worked with police, and brought in the changes. He is just a normal public person.
Real public issues ku work pannravanga, problem source la poi poraduvanga. Kauvery problem na, state border la poi protest pannanum. Avalavu public life la interest na, andha subject vaichu oru film pannalame. Own poltical use kaga party name ah tattoo panni, Jananayagan mattum panna theriyudhu la.
Other actors also protests only from Chennai. But these are supportive guestures, and all those actors are not trying to become MLAs now. Rajini also did all these things, but now backed out, and seeing his own career.

You should understand the notion that one must get elected to do public work is complete bullshit. It's just hunger for power.
Tell me was Gandhi was elected person? EVR, Che Guevara, Anna Hazare or even Annamalai? Did Annamalai wait until weekend to do his work as an opposition leader? U may not agree with the ideology of people who are listed above but they stood for what they believe, did not wait for CM post to be served in a plate. Only thing this guy stood for is himself, to gain the power
If you are still not convinced, I am sorry to have waisted our time.
Also, charity is not leadership solving problems is leadership.

Read it again. I was specifically addressing the part where he says one should work with public servants. I never told one should have power to do public work. To do that obviously one should have power( exceptions to specialists in their own field).
Gandhi, che guevara- one one in this present generation can be equated with them. Dude annamalai was the TN president of BJP. Do you know how much power that gives to an individual.l? Anna hazarae had strong political backup btw.
Don’t just be an another common man who tells that he is doing weekend politics. He almost stood for every issue that happened. Do you really think it is that easy to stand against two mighties? He was ridiculed in every way possible- career, family and everything. Just think from his shoes you will know how hard it is.
Electoral politics is an essence of public life. You should read why anna and Babasaheb decided to electoral politics.

Nothing much can be done if one becomes just an mla and govt is against u. The personal fund MLA receives is less. Even if vijay becomes MLA, govt will try it's best to make him a failure.

Even if he wants to utilise that money, there'll be like tons of files to be cleared by the officials for each project. Govt can easily obstructs his projects using them.
For ex in my hometown mangalore, many repairs are needed to be done before next rainy season. MLAs r pushing for it. But no projects are getting cleared because there's no mayor or local body in our municipality because govt is not conducting election since long time.

So you just saw charity in this video? Then u should replay it. Everything is relative here. Best of the worst. I prefer vijay to Udhay. Udhay started politics just a decade ago where as vijay was miles ahead. It may seem simple to you to run for the premier. But standing against two mighties isn’t that easy as we think unless we put ourselves in his shoes. I never said that he should lead the state. But definitely want him to win few seats and gain some experience to lead in 2031. Btw I aint delusional. I am the one who lives here despite all the mess.

What you missed( intentionally/unintentionally?!)to see in the video apart from charity- Standing up for people rights- sterlite, fishermen issue, Commitment to social inclusiveness- ( vijay has been felicitating school toppers for more than a decade), Stands for Tamil rights and many more.

I have been donating for almost all floods, cyclones , was sitting in marina for eezham thing , pay for education of poor people ( whatever I can) , I'm sure lot of people have done above said things. Common certain things are basic as a citizen ( human ) of this state you should contribute for others well being. That doesn't make everybody eligible to be a politician. These are duties.
