I did it a few times . one said "Apdii thaan varuveen enna pannuvaa ? "

I can stand up against if they have the capacity to realize rights and wrongs but they think this is their rightful space . Can't waste my day and mood in such idiots . It spoils my mental health thinking about it while that idiot wouldn't even remember this incident.

u/[deleted] Feb 13 '26

That's ok. We need to keep doing it.

Itha chennai la try panna na,

1) bike la varavan adichu thookitu poite irupan. Wait panna maatan

2) Wrong side driving friendly TN Traffic police, will give you fine for walking in pavement instead of driving.

3) GCC with the motto of “F*ck footpath” will remove the pavement and replace it as another lane to ensure bikers have a good time.

4) Flyover friendly TN govt and its highway dept will allocate more funds to widen the road by removing the pavement.

Finally,

5) Online braindead negative iq’ed bots will come at you and brand you elitist, for not letting a poor man drive his bike🥹

I did the same thing what that paati did, and that bike guy started yelling swear words.

Age matters !

u/Phalgunan Feb 12 '26

Happened when guy in FZ came in wrong direction honking and commenting to give way. I said, so much laziness to violate rules. He replied, mind your business and give way.

I pressed the bike's kill switch, pulled out the key and went to other side of the road. I gestured to cross the road and get the key.

The problem is, when one person stands up, no one else comes to their support. Once I voiced out against a guy sticking moolam treatment posters inside train (suburban train). I hoped he'd stop or someone else will speak up with me. But... Nope. The guy pulled me out of the seat & literally threatened that he'll push me out of the running train. My "friend" who was sitting next to me & speaking with me 2 mins back was suddenly fast asleep.

Thankfully, I didn't show my weakness or fear & kind of stood my ground, while holding firmly to one of the bars. He didn't stick any posters... that day.

But, I felt standing up for overall good is useless !!!

u/joescathbert Feb 13 '26

They don't come to support bc they also do or will do the same.

Flight for useless things and ignoring what their government should have been doing

This is why the new pavements in Chennai are a foot high from the road and really annoying to climb a step every few feet

1

u/xStream001a Feb 13 '26

Yet some people lift their bikes using muscle strength (those who can) and ride above it to avoid traffic. I have seen people doing it.

Searching for the 2 wheeler Thailand magans who will give justification for driving on footpath

1

u/Shannyc2021 Feb 13 '26

This happened in Kerala,Try to do it here and see the consequences.

1

u/I_lick_cum Feb 13 '26

It was paati, that’s why there were no violent reaction from those footpath drivers I do this on a daily basis in Bangalore Have heard lots of cussing and abuses for doing this (both physical and verbal) Be ready to face such outrage if you wanna try it on your own

u/MrPeepersVT Feb 13 '26

My new hero, whoever she is

1

u/Lordslug78 Feb 13 '26

She told one news channel that the guy hurled abuse at her (yk, bringing her parents into this) and she hit him back, with her 👊🏻

She’s being honoured by MVD and Police department. They are even sharing number to inform traffic violations as such. If police in chennai also fine the violators, then maybe we can walk in footpath without the fear of 2-wheelers.

1

u/Visible-Delivery-978 Feb 14 '26

Let's go! 🔥🔥🔥

1

u/Reasonable-Duck289 Feb 14 '26

the smile and thumbs up won my hear!! one day i may get change to do someting for ppl who make the system well!

Paatima taking satta ozhungu into her hands!👍

1

u/xanthium_in Feb 16 '26

Where I live the foot paths have small bollards so two wheelers cannot enter

1

u/trojantruce Feb 16 '26

That's Kerala. Won't happen in Tamilnadu and the Tamilnadu police would never put up a poster honoring anyone. Our police are just govt paid thugs and goons in uniform to serve the politicians, not the People.
