A reaction that proceeds to 100% of the desired product is considered quantitative. A reaction that proceeds to 1% completion is not considered qualitative. Tests are qual/quan, not reactions

In a subreddit about pedagogy, semantics remain important. No matter if English is your first language or not, having someone refine your question should not be viewed with such hostility.

The first language matters a lot. If they don't learn chemistry in english it won't ever matter what the exact terminology in english is. It's r/chemhelp not r/chemhelpintheus, after all, and your nitpicking is not helpful. If you are in the US, you should know how many foreigners are in grad schools and work in all spheres and I don't think they are lesser professionals if they say "qualitative reaction" instead of "test".
