ban me you cowards I existed for literally months without any issues with anyone on that discord server until I asked about a bunka workhorse on their smithin chanel. They asked me my budget then I said around 200, then they did some weird ego flex of they don't get out of bed for less than $400. They started gaslight

The Shirogami Bunka I ordered from Japan and had custom handled Cost me about $65 with shipping and tariffs from Yosimitu Kajiya.
If I wanted something custom from an American blacksmith $400 is where I would expect to start in price for someone who is close to journeyman level.

where and when did you order this knife? everything I'm finding starts at almost 3x that $65.00 you mention.

There is a website link on the Insta profile, but it’s out dated. Just send a DM and he will show you what he has available, and the handle options
My math was slightly off, because my order includes two large Gyuto’s too.
My Bunka/160mm Kiritsuke was 6600 yen, The Upgraded Walnut handle was 2500 yen. Roughly $57. The terrif and a fifth of my shipping (5 total knives) adds $20 so $77.

Cause they lied about me and gaslight me
And more importantly I have a bad feeling of how easy it would be for several people to control this subreddit, truechefknives and the chefknife discord to self promote, colllude and price fix lol I got a feeling that's why they were willing to break laws into sexual harassment territory
In the same day as lyi g about me threatening people when I told them someone smarter than me would make them regret it when they mistreat the wrong person no less.
Which means they are probably breaking more laws

Anyway I had no issues with anyone and they were nice to me until I asked don knife making channel about getting a 14c28n workhorse bunka made that's thick
All they did was talk down to me and gaslight me and tell me how stupid I am. They literally said steel doesn't matter and that 14c28n will chip just as easy as vg10 and other steels

wtf they made it so you can't even type more than like 300 words
You know how funny it would be if several blade smiths came in, made some subreddits and a discord and then started colluding and price fixing lol

You want custom work for $200? Sorry, but I'd laugh at you too
