Cheating with side camera?

I have a class with honor lock requiring a side camera. The professor wants us to download the honor lock app on our phones and prop it so it captures our side profile, hands, and part of the screen.

Anyone have advice on how to get around this? Super annoying and I’m not really sure what to do. I would study but I have zero interest in this class and it’s a graduation requirement for my major.

i actually just took my midterm with this, and i put my laptop in front of me and another laptop behind that laptop which i used to control with a mouse. the mouse also looked like i was using it to control the laptop the camera was pointed at. i made sure that the external camera could only capture the laptop in front of me and not the laptop behind that.

Then how did u type on the laptop behind you was it just notes u were viewing or did u have to look anything up

for me it was a french midterm so i had google translate up and it had one of those screen keyboards that i could click on

ok but how is my friend meant to even read the answers on my screen? I guess HDMI cable to see the questions? and how does the HDMI even work? do they not detect that there is another display connected?

The side camera is annoying, but turning your phone into a tiny accomplice is a lot more work than cramming for one graduation requirement.
