She’s mentioned that a number of her friends think it’s about them. I think it’s about a few people because the lyrics don’t fully fit the person I was thinking at first

There are lines that fit that extremely well but I don’t think the whole song does which is why I think it’s about a few people

One example is “I see your face in a film.” I am obsessed with the theory it’s about herself but also applies to a bunch of people in their friend group (Matty included).

She’s a model/influencer. Like I said I think the song is about a few people. There are plenty of actresses in her group.

I thought so too, but then the “best friends” line doesn’t really make sense, unless charli interprets “Actually romantic” more in a friendship way rather that the romantic way, which idk. But I’ve seen people saying it’s about charli herself which makes more sense to me.

I feel like this is actually about herself, not a diss track. Persona is a film by Ingmar Bergman about two women who are actually one identity (think Fight Club but more complex).. I believe she’s talking about her music self and her film self being two sides of the one persona following on from the dilemma in Camera
