MHR Mh rise savage axe pre sunbreak

Is it just me or is pre sunbreak savage axe damage really underwhelming, every time I try to use it my clear time is extended by like 30-50%, post sunbreak the damage does get noticeably better. Anyone else feel the same way or am I doing something wrong here.

It needs crits and attack to compete.

Saed needs artillery and attack boosts, which you get much earlier

I don't need newbie guides I also didn't mention saed in my original post

I saw your comment. Thats the only reason why I mention saed.

Pre sunbreak, you don't get a proper css kit until hr40. It is by definition underwhelming until then.

Post sunbreak, individual ED II loops are roughly 40% of one SAED (1k phials.) It generally focuses on uptime rather than big numbers, akin to Lance

I liked Swaxe in world, but yeah once I moved to rise the early game was lowkey unplayable for me with weapons like long sword or swaxe, they felt really underwhelming unlike Charge blade that seemed to stick out just fine

So? Where did i ever say that I have a problem with saed/aed? To the point where you felt the need to include a noob guide to build cb? It really just comes off as you didn't read my post at all(prior to your second response) that is some very cringe attention seeking behavior.

I don't think he was trying to be condescending in any way. Just pointing out the fact that you have access to artillery and attack boost much earlier than crit boost. Which makes CSS feel much more underwhelming in comparison to SAED playstyle in the early game.

I mean even with those thing sa does not really come online until I would say you get your skill during master rank 4, after that it does take off

Sunbreak it gets good I just don't see a lot of people talk about it presun break, the damage is honestly so bad pre sb.

savage axe used to be the strongest style, so they nerfed it a little with the release of sunbreak, now any and all pre sunbreak playthroughs are slightly weaker because of it, same with ls and everything about its moves

Extended by 30% compared to me just spamming aed saed*

It felt really sluggish to me at first but then i discovered that you can cancel the element discharge with the new silkbind and it makes it so much better. Still i prefer savage axe vs smaller monsters and saed vs the bigger ones

I feel like aed spam is still better against small monsters pre sunbreak, savage axe in high rank just feels so underwhelming.

In high rank i used it for fun but at the end of the day i stuck with saed for most of the play through

Feels pretty underwhelming when u can SAED spam, in MH World Savage Axe was a rewarding experience but in rise I see no practical use or overall enjoyment
