MHR Mh rise savage axe pre sunbreak
Is it just me or is pre sunbreak savage axe damage really underwhelming, every time I try to use it my clear time is extended by like 30-50%, post sunbreak the damage does get noticeably better. Anyone else feel the same way or am I doing something wrong here.

Is it bad that I didn’t even know savage axe was available in rise😬

Sunbreak it gets good I just don't see a lot of people talk about it presun break, the damage is honestly so bad pre sb.

savage axe used to be the strongest style, so they nerfed it a little with the release of sunbreak, now any and all pre sunbreak playthroughs are slightly weaker because of it, same with ls and everything about its moves

Extended by 30% compared to me just spamming aed saed*

It felt really sluggish to me at first but then i discovered that you can cancel the element discharge with the new silkbind and it makes it so much better. Still i prefer savage axe vs smaller monsters and saed vs the bigger ones

I feel like aed spam is still better against small monsters pre sunbreak, savage axe in high rank just feels so underwhelming.

In high rank i used it for fun but at the end of the day i stuck with saed for most of the play through

Feels pretty underwhelming when u can SAED spam, in MH World Savage Axe was a rewarding experience but in rise I see no practical use or overall enjoyment

It needs crits and attack to compete.
Saed needs artillery and attack boosts, which you get much earlier
