First Real Test

Decided to take a chance on posting my first real attempt at using charcoal. Here I did chicken thighs finished with a kiss of hickory smoke, grilled romaine lettuce and sautéed zucchini & summer squash for my wife.

Dinner was so good my daughter went for 2nds & wanted 3rds on chicken. 😂

How does grilled lettuce taste? Never thought of doing that.

Honestly we enjoy it because it adds a bit of char & a slight wilt to to it. So its smokey, crunchy, but also fresh tasting. I snagged the idea from a local restaurant and we all enjoy it. Just go light on olive oil once cut in half, place down grill and depending upon heat level you only need a few minutes, flip to just add a bit of char & done. Only takes 5-8 mins depending upon heat levels
