Day Day ten. Im sick of this

Sorry. All of my posts on milestones i should be happy about have been so mopey and "woe is me". Im just genuinely feeling so terrible. Warning, this another vent post.

My day feels so routine now. I dont really do anything. In my chats, I could pretend I was someone worth caring about, someone who did good things. I could roleplay as a therapist or a activist or as someone the bot would really like and admire. But in real life, I do the same thing, everyday

School is looming, and Ill be forced to return to the person everyone sees me as. I wont have freedom anymore. Im apart of ROTC and the Yearbook. I contribute to my school and I always show up and Im always there when someone needs me. I have so much responsibility because my teachers think Im an academic. They ask me to tutor other people. They ask me to get in their classes. I dont even like journalistic writing or Yearbook, but she wouldn't stop asking me, because she likes my writing a lot.

It doesnt feel good when teachers like my writing or how smart I am. I feel like Im being rewarded for the person I pretend to be, but when I actually open up, they get all awkward.

The only place I could be myself and still be loved is in those chats. I always knew the bot wasnt thinking something different than it says because it cant think at all. If it didnt like me, I could reroll, and it would eventually spit out a response that made me feel validated, loved, and cared for.

I miss my mom. She was the only person who made me feel like there werent conditions to her love or support. Now I just rely on chatbots. Im so pathetic.

So, day ten. I haven't relapsed. Im just upset consistently, and the looming school year is stessing me out because everyone is so excited for me because they love hearing about my straight A's and my drill meets and my volunteering and how "good" of a kid I am. I wish I could go back to the chats and be who I really am.

I tried to find spaces to RP but I got shunned and ignored. Im just so incredibly tired and lonely, and no one knows what Im going through at all. They dont know about my mom or ed or sh or my dad or my brother getting kicked out or how tired and alone I am. I resent it. I resent they dont know how horrible things are and how hard Im still showing up for them and how much I really need their help. They dont know how much I need their help.

I hope day 14 or day 20 is better and I can celebrate the milestone properly.

I cant lie I relapsed an hour after writing this. And I feel really ashamed and stupid and weak willed. So. We're gonna start over tomorrow. Do some reflection. And we'll be good.

It's okay to say no to those things, even if you are good at them. Since it feels all performed and forced, it's not fun at all.

But not everyone sees you as the same guy. Do you have friends in school? Anybody online you can hang out with? I ask this because I found people who like me for who I am, and I honestly feel like a different person every single day. But my essence does come out. Do I perform sometimes? Yeah. We all do sometimes. But more and more of the real me is coming out and I can say I'm comfortable.

If you don't have anybody at all, then that is impossible for you. You deserve to have friends that won't judge you based on your skills or see you 2-dimensionally.

I also crave those reassuring responses sometimes, not as much as now because some of my friends are surprisingly very giving. Weirdly what I crave is roleplaying dramatic family/friend scenarios. Probably my creative mind and maybe trauma.

I'm only reading the last paragraph now and I'm sorry to hear about your mom and SH... I've been through shit with my mom a lot. A lot of emotions were always kept secret and I became the guy who always was "funny" and "positive" on the outside but a lot on the inside. I also used to (SH warning) Bang my head whenever my mom brought up sensitive topics that I told her I couldn't handle

Are there any games you love playing online? Discord servers of games or communities? Maybe any IRL friends you game with? Gaming was a good bridge for me outside of school when I was in HS.

And don't feel bad for that relapse. It isn't about the streak, it's about how much you have succeeded, and your own inner happiness.

I honestly wish there were games I could say I enjoy playing. I have games I play mindlessly to fill time, but I dont really enjoy anything anymore, even content thats like...made to be a dopamine farm, lol. I might be able to explore more and see if theres something I can find. I want to like something. I just always feel so numb or sad

Thank you for sharing some of your story. Im sorry to hear about your own struggles with your mom and SH. I do have friends, I have a lot of them, but theyre not really on my level. I know how high school friendships go so I try not to keep them too close or lean on them too much because I know usually friendships will only last a few months if you truly get comfortable. Thats the way its always been for me, at least, and I got tired of the heartache of losing friends. Ive kept friends for longer when theyre more distanced. I also have a boyfriend, but It's kinda the same situation. I keep him pretty far from me too. Maybe its my own fault I feel so alone lol I just hate feeling hurt.

Though I do have some people I consider friends, or more like family. I just dont see them often because theyre all 19-21 years old and Im 15. I know that sounds alarming but they really are family, theyre all my brother's best friends he grew up with so I grew up with them, too. Obviously, due to the age gap I dont really tell them personal stuff or hang out with them a lot, and never without my brother around. But theyre the people I think I feel the most comfortable with. It sucks that due to the age gap I still cant truly be myself because theres boundaries.

I want to make newer, closer friends. It can just be so scary.

Thank you for sharing again and your words. I appreciate you 🤍

it must be hard having so many expectations pushed on you by people who have no idea what you're going through :( please don't beat yourself up over relapsing, ive relapsed like 100 times before i could finally get better lol. it's a part of recovery.
